About Dr. Kane Lai

Dr. Kane Lai is the Founder and Director of BoostedMD, where he leads a pioneering approach in integrative and functional medicine. At BoostedMD, Dr. Lai combines his expertise in natural bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), personalized fitness and nutrition plans, pharmaceutical-grade supplementation, and stress reduction techniques to offer customized wellness programs. His mission is to help both women and men find relief from the symptoms of menopause, andropause, and other hormonal imbalances, aiming to enhance their overall quality of life.

Dr. Lai’s commitment to a preventive and whole-body approach to medicine stems from his dissatisfaction with traditional, reactionary methods. He believes in proactively addressing health issues to achieve and maintain optimal wellness, rather than simply reacting to illnesses as they arise.

Through BoostedMD, Dr. Lai continues to lead advancements in integrative medicine, championing a proactive, customized approach to health and wellness.

Education and Experience

Dr. Lai holds a B.S. in Biology and an M.A. in Sociology from Stanford University and earned his M.D. from Vanderbilt School of Medicine. His medical journey includes an internship at Washington Hospital Center in 2001 and a residency in Anesthesiology at St. Vincent’s Hospital in 2004. In 2007, he founded his own medical weight loss clinic, which eventually evolved to incorporate bioidentical hormone therapies to better serve his patients.

Susan Guthart, APNP, FNP-C

Susan Guthart, APNP, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of healthcare experience in a diverse array of clinical specialties to include bioidentical hormone replacement therapy(BHRT), integrative medicine, regenerative medicine, urgent care, family medicine, medical aesthetics, trauma/critical care, organ donation/transplantation as well as organizational/financial/informatics consulting.

Education and Experience

She holds a bachelors of science in healthcare administration from St. John’s University, NY (1995), bachelors of science and masters in nursing from Chamberlain University, IL (2018).
